The weather didn't really cooperate..

but the girls still managed to get as much as they could out of the Slip'n'Slide.

I'm not sure who invented this thing but my guess is it was a mother. The one I got at Target is a double-wide slide with a small wading pool at the end plus a ridge around the outside that squirts water a la the Bellagio in Vegas (ask Jane if you don't know what that looks like - can you tell I'm jealous?)

While I have mixed feelings about running water for about, well, an hour, the girls (including our friend Clara) played happily in the incredible heat and humidity. And yes, I'll admit I did a workout and then splashed about a bit myself.
